Colorado Film, a company established by Maurizio Totti, Gabriele Salvatores and Diego Abatantuono in 1986, is part of Gruppo Iven S.p.A.

A wide-ranging enterprise, it operates across the sectors of film and television production (Colorado Film), artistic management (Moviement), publishing (Colorado Noir), and music (San Isidro, a label for film soundtracks).

Its satellite companies have a distinct identity but operate in a complementary way, often developing synergies or brand extension operations, depending on the project.

A cross-sectional approach to its products is one of the company's strong points.

Colorado Film Production is headquartered in Milan and Rome.

The headquarters in Rome include an inner division for film casting and production, while those in Milan focus on the production of television films.

A staff of approximately thirty people coordinates all the company's operations, which fall under the control of the holding directed by Maurizio Totti.

The company is structured as follows:

  • Maurizio Totti, President and founding partner,
  • Gabriele Salvatores founding partner,
  • Diego Abatantuono founding partner,
  • Alessandro Usai Managing Director.

Colorado Film has produced over thirty films so far, including IO NON HO PAURA (I'M NOT SCARED, 2003), an award-winning release that was also the Italian nominee for the Academy Award in 2004; COME DIO COMANDA (AS GOD COMMANDS, 2008) and HAPPY FAMILY (2010), directed by Gabriele Salvatores; and LA PEGGIOR SETTIMANA DELLA MIA VITA (2011), IL PEGGIOR NATALE DELLA MIA VITA (2012) and SOAP OPERA (2014), directed by Alessandro Genovesi. The last of these films opened the ninth edition of the Rome Film Festival.

The year 2013 witnessed the release of the teen movie FUGA DI CERVELLI, the début work of director Paolo Ruffini, which proved a box office smash.

The latest successes have been MA CHE BELLA SORPRESA (2015) by Alessandro Genovesi and VERGINE GIURATA (SWORN VIRGIN, 2015) by debutant director Laura Bispuri – the only Italian film nominated at the Berlin Film Festival, it won the Nora Ephron Prize at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York and the Golden Gate Award at the 2015 San Francisco International Film Festival. BELLI DI PAPA' (2016) is the most successful Italian comedy of the year and BABYSITTER (2016) is the direction debut of Giovanni Bognetti. In 2017 comes out in theaters CLASSE Z directed by Guido Chiesa. In the Fall of 2017 is expected to be released THE GIRL IN THE FOG, the first film of the best-selling author Donato Carrisi.
